The 21st annual SPRING ART SHOW of the Art Guild of Tellico Village takes place next weekend, so mark your calendar. A large hall at the Tellico Village Community Church will be transformed into a huge art celebration from May 10-12, 2019.

Last year was my first time in this show, and I was extremely proud to be among the impressive creativity, enormous range of media, and high quality of the artwork. With the efforts of a big team of hardworking volunteers, the Art Guild hosts this 3-day professional presentation of paintings, photographs, prints, pastels, drawings, sculptures, wood carvings, and 3-dimensional art. In recent years the show has included over 200 pieces of art for show and for sale, representing more than 50 highly talented local artists who are members of the Art Guild. It’s a show which shouldn’t be missed.

I will have four of my newest paintings in this year’s show, including one watercolor, one acrylic, and two scratchboards. The show opens with a Meet the Artists reception on Friday, May 10, from 5-8pm with free beverages and refreshments. On Saturday, May 11th the hours are 10am-4pm, and on Sunday, May 12th it is open 8am-2pm. It’s the perfect place to go for Mother’s Day!

Admission is free and attendees are given a ballot to vote for their favorite artwork, to be awarded the People’s Choice award. Learn more about the show on this video from Tellico Village Broadcasting.

I hope I’ll see you there on Friday evening!

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 411 in Vonore, TN, take Hwy 72 W to Hwy 444 (the entrance to Tellico Village communities).
