Set a date to see a fabulous show of watermedia paintings here in East Tennessee. Twenty-five artists who are members of the Tennessee Watercolor Society have over 100 original paintings displayed in the galleries of The Art Center in Athens, Tennessee. This regional show celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Society and showcases some of the state's top watercolor artists.
Feast your eyes on a variety of styles, subjects, and techniques. Artists were invited to submit their works in any water media, which can include not only watercolor but acrylics, inks, tempera, and gouache. There was no specification for the painting surface either, so works on paper, canvas, and panels are on display.
I am happy to have 10 original paintings in this exhibit (5 are shown here), including several of my scratchboards. I'm even happier to have a LIVE show with no limitation on the number of guests in the gallery at one time, as in pre-covid days.
