"When I saw this photo of a duck in a private Facebook group of fine photographers who make their work available to artists I knew I had to create a scratchboard of it! The intense contrast of the solid black background with the brilliant light feathers set the stage. The soft down against sections of more defined feather texture were lovely, the beak was so different in color and texture, and the squiggly reflection on the surface of the still water was intriguing. I guess I succeeded in capturing this little duckling - I sold the painting right away!"

**NOTE: This is the first artwork which I have made into prints on metal and the results are fabulous. The prints are made on demand, same size as the original, and the mid-gloss or satin finish create a gorgeous duplicate of my original.
