Olivia

"My great-niece Olivia patiently modeled for many reference photos I had in mind for my future artwork. One I had envisioned was a portrait with side-lighting and a serene look on her beautiful face. Of the three photos I took, one looked like the perfect image, so I decided to tackle a portrait in black, white and grey on Scratchbord™.

Olivia is intelligent and what I'd describe as an "old-soul." Her scholarly attitude mixed with the natural humor and innocence of a ten-year-old. Her hair reflected light brilliantly, like strands of gold. These were some characteristics I set out to capture in my artwork of her. I am happy to report that she was pleased with my artwork herself, and she is now the owner of it!"
