ACCOLADES: This painting was one of only 60 chosen, from entries throughout Tennessee, for inclusion in the 31st Exhibition of the Tennessee Watercolor Society in 2008 - Judy's first entry into the Society's biennial exhibitions.
"I am attracted by interesting textures, so this old truck immediately caught my interest when I saw it parked off road in the rural town where I live in Tennessee. The broken windows, dented front end, shiny chrome, rusted paint and missing headlights added so much interest. I created the setting after coming up with a title; I noticed the barn while out driving on a rainy day and decided it would be a perfect backdrop. The rain itself gave me the idea to add a puddle and reflection of the truck, which really anchored it in the scene."
