"I’ve always wanted to build a gingerbread house, but gingerbread cookies were the closest I ever got. A house would be so fun to design and decorate, but I don’t like the short shelf-life of something requiring so much time! This miniature art of a gingerbread man will have to suffice for now.
It was fun to paint this using transparent watercolors. The photo doesn’t do it complete justice; I used metallic and iridescent watercolors to add a festive touch to the base painting. The scarf and hat were painted with a top layer of white pearl watercolor and the background was spattered with gold."
This Whiskey Painting was created with watercolors diluted with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey.
